We are a Bible-teaching ministry for those who are interested in a Christian approach to treating substance abuse and alcoholism. We teach the addicted that there is victory through Jesus Christ and the truths of the Bible. Our addiction treatment center offers classroom teaching, workbooks, audio tapes, personal counseling, and worship services. Bethel’s treatment center is primarily designed to produce in each person a more effective lifestyle in which he allows Jesus Christ to take control of his life to achieve victory over addictions.

Looking for a free (except for a minimal entry fee) drug and alcohol rehab with a faith-based approach using the Bible and Christian principles in counseling? Then, Bethel Colony of Mercy, located in Lenoir, North Carolina, is the place for you. With only an entry fee of $350.00, Bethel Colony is a 65-day residential program that teaches victory over sin through Jesus Christ and the Bible.

This is done through classroom teaching, audio tapes, counseling both at the Colony and online, homework, worship services, and work projects. Our program is designed to provide a vital context in which the students are encouraged to know Christ personally and to understand the practical outworking of the Word of God in meeting every need. Daily teaching, counseling, devotionals, guided personal Bible study and prayer provide the means by which these objectives are accomplished. This, combined with a disciplined schedule, healthful climate, nutritious food, and relaxing recreation, soon restores a measure of physical health and a more positive mental outlook. The students also participate in routine maintenance of the facilities, general upkeep of the grounds, and community projects. When Pastor Pruitt stands behind the pulpit it’s with the sole purpose to MAKE GOD’S UNSHAKABLE TRUTH KNOWN! The men & women who are students at Bethel Colony of Mercy are in a fight for their souls. Whether they know it or not, eternity is being weighed in the balance. Not everyone makes it. The Evil One longs to steal, kill and destroy and we must always be on guard, watch and pray. When any of our students open their hearts to Jesus with humble hearts of repentance and a desire for a redeemed life, AMAZING transformations begin to take place. At Bethel Colony of Mercy both the men’s and women’s campuses are regularly blessed with donations totally UNEXPECTED and a completeSURPRISE! God is so faithful and we are humbled by the support. Clothes after a house decluttering, paper products, cleaning supplies, vehicles in good condition, food from restaurants, companies or community events, tools, home & garden supplies, household goods, plants, books, hygiene items, computers, office supplies, furniture and MUCH, MUCH MORE find their way here and materially support our daily, life transformation ministry. Facing broken marriages, court cases, ravaged personal health from addictions, lost employment and destroyed relationships our students are instructed in the life changing power with purposeful prayer.
